Ages ago, probably arround 2016, we had this project with the Resistance team :
a new Megadrive demos in the lore of XVIIth century Pirates !
The idea was quite cool and I started to learn Megadrive Coding thanks to the
amazing MD SDK by Stef!
We did some other other stuff on the SEGA console, including Masiaka.
A few years later, Gligli implemented this crazy codecs he took advantage on
a couple of productions, including the Kessler Syndrome. The main idea bedind
the codec is mainly doing clustering of small perceived chunks (can be audio,
or even graphics tiles...)

Around 2020, lockdown, covid and stuff gave me plenty of time to work on the
Amiga game known as Athanor 2 (by the exellent Eric Safar). We had this idea
of doing a "talkie" version so I adapted Gligli codec (the decoding part)
from the Megadrive to the Amiga, but in the end Athanor 2 remained mostly
silent (except for the music and some sfx).

EVOKE 2026 was a nice occasion to try this codec for real on our beloved
Rocklobster, so here you are : a 1m30 pirate song, 12KHz.
This demo is based on the excellent ACE framework ... my own RPage API
built for Athanor 2 was waaaaay too slow for any decent demoscene prod :)

I hope you will enjoy this.
Here are some steps regading the graphics part, nothing incredible. Just
documenting the making, for posterity :)

Thanks again Gligli for the Amazing Codec.
